We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student with a strong background in RNA biology and infection biology for a 4-year doctoral project within the DFG-funded research unit DEEP-DV (FOR5200 | DEEP-DV: Disrupt - Evade - Exploit).
**Your task**
- An exciting and well-defined PhD project with close, expert supervision
- Integration into a highly interactive, interdisciplinary consortium
- Participation in structured training programs within MHH’s graduate schools in infection and immunity
**Our requirements**
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, or a related field
- A strong interest in host-pathogen interactions and molecular mechanisms of gene regulation
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
**We offer**
- a part-time position initially limited until 30 September 2029 with 25.03 hours per week with one of the largest employers in the state of Lower Saxony
- Depending on personal qualifications, remuneration up to pay grade E 13 according to TV-L is possible with the benefits of the public sector (e.g. company pension scheme and supplementary insurance through VBL)
