This role requires a strong background in profiling human diseases, hands-on expertise with single-cell and spatial omics platforms (with a particular emphasis on spatial proteomics), experience in histological techniques, and exceptional analytical skills to drive data interpretation and generate meaningful insights.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Develop and implement automated workflows**to enhance efficiency in sample processing and metadata collection.
- ** Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and their broader implications**to diverse internal and external stakeholders through clear and impactful data presentations.
- ** Collaborate closely with biology, analytical and clinical teams**to integrate disease profiling data into larger research initiatives, enabling actionable insights and translational outcomes.
- ** Drive innovation**by continuously evaluating, optimizing, and adopting cutting-edge technologies to advance research capabilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, immunology, molecular biology) with strong emphasis on human inflammatory and fibrotic diseases.
- Extensive background in profiling human diseases and knowledge of translational models and patient-derived tissue studies.
- Hands-on experience with single cell and spatial platforms (particularly spatial proteomics)
- Proficient in designing and executing experimental wet lab work, with strong analytical method implementation.
- Proven ability to lead and conduct research projects, working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team or matrix.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills, with adaptability to a dynamic research environment.

This is an on-site role based in Heidelberg, Germany, which is fully integrated into GSK's Research and Development (R&D) and located on the campus of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).
