With our research in the divisions of climate-neutral energy systems, resource-efficient processes and circular products, we make concrete contributions to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Our employees conduct research in the fields of energy, environment, safety, health, communication and mobility.

How can inland habours be supported in the energy transformation? In creating a new container terminal in the habour of Duisburg on the former coal island, a sustainable energy system is being installed to connect renewable energies, energy storage and consumers. It can supply neighbouring quaters.

**What you will do**
- Development of a tool for the representation of the planned energy system
- Development of a reference scenario in conventional operation
- Determination of CO2 savings under different baseline scenarios

**What you bring to the table**
- Studies in the field of energy economy, engineering or industrial engineering with a spacialization in energy technology or similar
- Knowledge of VBA or similar
- Analytical thinking
- Autonomous and enthusiastic way of working
