In Merchant Services (MS) Business Controlling team our contribution is strong business partnering towards the MS organisation including creating clarity for management on key business drivers and financial facts and being sparring partner on important business decisions.

Your key responsibilities as business controller in MS Finance will be to partner up with the leadership team of the European Scheme Compliance and Scheme Pricing, interact closely with your stakeholders and support on finance and business performance topics and drive finance related processes. Scope within this business area includes the full value chain, and helping to enable our geographic expansion across Europe. As a key employee of the Business Controlling team you will be the guardian of pricing and margin vs. forecast and targets, secure transparency on actual margin development with a focus on building business insight on underlying drivers, beyond accounting line variances. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of the spend and financial performance reporting for European Scheme Compliance.

The Business Partner:

- Knowledge expert on the acquiring product revenue line and underlying drivers with focus on Scheme Fees.
- Ensures quality monthly reporting on revenue and margin lines for products in scope to the relevant BUs
- Propose and drives management actions such as re-pricing to meet our targets in dialogue with central pricing team and regions
- Knowledge expert about the acquiring revenue and margin
- Drives convergence of definitions for revenue and product related bookings in SAP across geographies
- Reports on and controls the product related P&Ls
- Performs specialist ad-hoc analysis on drivers of product performance to contribution margin level

- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a larger finance organisation as a business controller or finance partner
- Experience within a complex and growth-oriented set-up with high attention to customers, sales, spend and investments into enhancing the business
- Strong analytical skills dealing with numbers and building models
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven record of building up structure, reporting tools and ensuring delivery and partnering to business
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- We look for a colleague who is result oriented, proactive and energetic with willingness to walk the extra mile to reach targets
- A relevant higher education, such as M.Sc. in Finance, Economics or similar and have solid knowledge of finance, business economics and financial reporting
