HHLA Next is the innovation and venture-building unit of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG with a focus on digitalisation and sustainability in maritime logistics. The aim of HHLA Next is to develop successful products and business models from ideas, either in the form of in-house developments, in cooperation with partners or through investments in innovative companies. The company is part of the HHLA Group, a leading European logistics group.

As a Research Expert Market & Innovation (M/F/d), you will define the digital logistics market of the future. With a focus on logistics and transport, you will be responsible for identifying and analysing industry-specific problems and innovative technologies. You will systematically track the global startup ecosystem, analyse the innovation activities of leading industry players and interpret current and future transport and logistics trends. With your focus on early-stage innovation topics, you form the basis for new business models.

**What you can expect**
- Identification and analysis of logistics-specific problems using data-driven market research
- Visualisation of the analysis results and derivation of decisions relevant to the business model
- Analysing the global start-up ecosystem with a focus on logistics and transport and innovation activities of leading industry players
- Analysing and continuously screening regulatory changes in the logistics sector
- Systematic scouting and trend monitoring in the transport and logistics industry
- Further development of the internal research system and suitable tools
- Central point of contact for digital trends and technologies in the transport and logistics sector

**What you bring to the table**
- Successfully completed university degree (Master) in the field of economics or finance or comparable qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in the areas of market research as well as innovation and product/partner management with a focus on innovative technologies
- Sound knowledge of modern market research methods as well as knowledge of the relevant databases and various data collection and analysis techniques and tools
- Experience in working with start-ups, underlying business models and respective growth drivers
- Ideally knowledge of the transport and logistics industry
- Pioneering spirit, entrepreneurial thinking, results-orientated work and the motivation to make things happen
- Very good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
