**Responsibilities**:

- Providing patent attorney support and advice to the business groups and inventors on all IP issues
- Proactive participation in the creation and implementation of the IP strategies of the business groups
- Patent attorney support for development projects and participation in the protection of the results under intellectual property law
- Responsibility for filing patents, utility models, trademarks and designs and conducting grant/registration procedures in Germany and abroad
- Responsibility for enforcing and defending own property rights and defending third-party property rights in Germany and abroad
- Supporting the business units in Freedom-To-Operate analyses in Germany and abroad
- Contributing to the drafting of IP provisions in contracts as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Conducting IP Due Diligence in an interdisciplinary team

**Qualifications**:

- Successfully completed studies preferably in chemistry, possibly also in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics or electrical engineering. PhD preferred
- Admission as European Representative and/ or German Patent Attorney
- Preferably several years of professional experience in the patent department of an industrial company or a patent law firm
- Experience in the field of electrochemistry or in the topics of fuel cells and/ or batteries is an advantage
- Very good communication skills to clearly present complicated legal issues
- Distinct ability to work in a team, independent and efficient working style, hands-on mentality, goal orientation, flexibility and initiative
- Business fluent in German and fluent in English
