As more and more data is generated during manufacturing, the ability to exchange and collaborate on this data across the whole value and supply chain is a key value driver for manufacturers. Data space architectures hope to enable this exchange in a decentralized and standardized way, while also paving the way for a data economy, which would allow supply chain partners to monetize a selection of their data effectively.

As data space architectures become more important for business, many research projects and industry consortia - like Catena X - are forming and creating open source software to make data space architetures a reality. Based on these developments, we are looking for talented and motivated students to evaluate current solutions for data space architectures.

**What part will you play?**
- Evalute current solutions for data space architectures
- Create a working solution with the available building blocks (e.g. from Catena X)
- Identify functional gaps and elaborate on possible solutions to fill these gaps
- Document your results

**Use your skills to move the world forward.**
- You are a bachelor's or master’s student in Computer Science or Information technology or related fields
- You have experience in using open source software and ideally contributed to one project
- You have experience in at least one programming language (preferrable Java, Python)
- You like creative and experimental work
- You are fluent in German; English is a plus

The position is available for a bachelor or master thesis, as well as an internship (Praxissemester).
