**Your challenge**:
As our Senior Accountant within the Finance team, you will take on a multifaceted role that combines responsibilities from both the General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions. Reporting to the Team Lead Accounting and collaborating with our Accountants, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our financial processes are optimized for continued company growth.

**Your responsibilities**:
**Monthly and Annual Financial Close**:

- Participate in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Enter financial data, such as revenues, accruals, deferrals, fixed asset depreciation, and reclassification entries into the ledger on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile accounts, including intercompany accounts, with the general ledger.
- Consolidate monthly financial statements.

**Audit Support**:

- Support auditors in conducting internal and external audits.
- Assist various departments with accounting issues and queries.

**General Ledger and Accounts Payable Management**:

- Improve the efficiency of accounts payable and employee expenses processes in line with our current procedures.
- Help out the AP team with accurately recording and classifying invoices and paying them within the specified terms.
- Serve as the main point of contact for the organization regarding purchase invoices, expenses, payment inquiries, and other related requests.
- Create and enforce main policies and procedures for accounts payable processes.
- Support the testing and implementation of scalable accounts payable processes.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and gather supporting documentation.

**Your profile**:

- Several years of practical experience in financial accounting, including both General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions.
- Strong desire to learn new things and improve knowledge in handling HGB and German tax matters
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles, as well as general ledger and accounts payable procedures.
- Proficiency with business solutions, bookkeeping software, and auditing experience is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where a high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills matter.
- Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to company policies.
- Fluent in both German and English.
