Information Security Officer

**Information Security Officer (f/m/d)**

As our Information Security Officer, your mission is to build a security team that ensures the highest level of security for the platform we build and 3rd party solutions we use as a company. You will be heavily involved in the discovery and documentation of security assets and processes. You will responsible to keep a holistic view of the security landscape, firstly the customer platform we build, and secondly overall security topics throughout the company. With other stakeholders, you develop the security architecture vision for our platform and create needed standards and policies. You shape and own a risk assessment process, which is inclusive and collaborative. You share your profound security knowledge and expertise with your team and the whole engineering.

You are going to work very closely with your Engineering Managers, CTO, the Product and Development team as well as with other departments of xChange Your ideal background includes profound security experience and ideally team management skills.

**Your responsibilities in a nutshell**
- With an overview of the technical systems, departments, security-relevant assets, and existing procedures, you will take ownership in establishing security solutions and processes
- You will lead a high-performing team of driven engineers to improve the security infrastructure at xChange
- As a top security professional, you proactively and collaboratively define the security vision for our customer platform as well as other areas of the xChange IT landscape
- You will be expected to establish new standards relative to security topics across the company
- Provide coaching and support with the goal of developing the skills of the team, ultimately developing individual careers, and creating an environment for growth

**What we’re looking for**
- Several years of experience in a tech-focused security role building highly scalable solutions
- First leadership experience is highly appreciated but no must-have if you bring the drive & people-focus to build and manage a high-performing team
- Intellectual horsepower - you think strategically and bring the ability to foster pragmatic decisions on highly complex topics
- You are passionate about processes and improvements. In the past, you have introduced and driven stringent feedback loops ensuring great learning and growth on security topics for both platform and company
- You have experience in managing tech stack for security teams in close collaboration with Tech teams as well as other stakeholders
- You are a great communicator (our company language is English) and listener - you are passionate about the xChange mission and inspire and motivate the people around you
