Assistant Designer Innovation
- Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

- Assist and support industry leading creative solutions for assigned concept or category, to create a highly relevant, desirable and distinct adidas brand image, to serve for athlete lead brand moments and system solutions for categories.- Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and grow towards achieving disruptive, innovation design impact with our consumers. Connecting emotionally with our consumer through your design contribution. Manifesting in a positive benefit driven brand experience
- Execute the innovation design strategy for concept or systems across high performance concepts.
- Support concepts and execute creative strategies that fulfill objectives of category-/concept briefs.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional innovation teams to ensure holistic storytelling on product level.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure athlete and brand relevance on projects.
- Support the execution of creative strategies to ensure end to end creative excellence.
- Direct variety of creative resources (agencies, freelancers, writers, photographers, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and drive IDF creation.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with adidas design and cross-functional colleagues.
- Demonstrate expertise in material visualization and prototyping.
- Present and communicate innovative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to variety of stakeholders.
- Support opportunities of improvement and change and initiate own proposals/projects.
- Seek out new design resources that can deliver world class results.
- Travel to suppliers or manufacturing partners as needed.
- KEY RELATIONSHIPS- Innovation Design (Directors, Senior Directors, VP)
- Business Units Design counterparts
- Cross-functional teams in Innovation for product and systems (concept, development, engineering, athlete solution, athlete performance,)
- Creative Direction organization
- External creative resources (agencies, freelancers, photographers, etc.)
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES- IT skills: Outlook, Miro, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Design skills: Sketching, 2D software (Illustrator/photoshop/ ), 3D software (i.e Blender, Gravity Sketch, Rhino,), 3D renders software (i.e. Blender, Keyshot,), Scripting (grasshopper, AI generated imagery/3D, etc.,)
- Strong visual and verbal skills with the ability to create relevant and
- impactful Design solutions
- Art direction of photoshoots, pre-press reviews and approvals.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Under-graduate level design education or combination thereof (Industrial/Product/Footwear Design
- Solid education and advanced experience in the creative development
- of communication tools
- 1-3 years of experience in sporting goods/fashion industry or design related industry on managerial level
- Proven experience with the entire design process (project scope and time planning, design steps, production/execution of design solution, athlete interactions, pre-press processes)
- Passion for adidas and its mission
- Passion for design, people, sport
