WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE? - Lead the development, verification, and qualification of joining processes for battery cells and packs - Ensure early-phase process readiness to reduce time-to-market and industrialization risks - Investigate and evaluate emerging joining technologies for future battery production - Act as process owner and lead technical expert across battery-related projects - Provide hands-on support and guidance to cross-functional technology and product teams - Support industrialization efforts and resolve joining-related production challenges - Drive standardization and structured knowledge transfer across teams and projects - Organize and manage the operations of the Battery Technical Centre - Plan and oversee prototype build-ups for trials, testing, and validation **93% of our people say they’re proud to work for Hilti, thanks to the quality of our products and the way we look after our people.** WHAT DO WE OFFER? - We offer you a unique place to work, in which you are part of a creative and interdisciplinary team. WHAT YOU NEED IS: - Familiarity with battery manufacturing and prototyping environments - Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering (PhD is a plus) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex, multi-project challenges - Proven experience in leading technical teams, preferably in R&D or prototyping settings - Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams and stakeholders - A proactive, tech-savvy mindset with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement - Fluency in English and German (spoken and written) WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?
