The Role

Are you a skilled Buyer with a passion for sustainability and cost optimization? Do you excel in negotiation and collaboration while possessing the analytical skills needed to drive results? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Buyer to execute the strategical buying for logistics procurement commodities.

Based in Grünheide (Mark), you will report to the Group Manager Logistics Procurement. You should have tracked record of procurement commodity management, strategy set up and vendor management. Ideally you have in-depth knowledge of markets and carriers and have experience in negotiating contracts for logistics commodities.

**What You'll Do**
- Assist in sourcing processes, including issuing RFx’s, gathering supplier information, and evaluating quotes
- Work with in-house procurement tools (e.g., ERP system, CLM, RFQ tool) to follow internal sourcing guidelines and support contracting approvals
- Leverage your analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities, should costs, analyze market trends, and evaluate supplier performance to make informed decisions
- Assist in negotiations and facilitate smooth communication between suppliers and internal teams
- Develop cost breakdowns and analyse pricing options to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives
- Drive the adoption of fully automated transport solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and streamline logistics processes
- Stay informed on market trends, supply and demand challenges, and potential sourcing risks
- Participate in identifying and evaluating new suppliers to support strategic goals
- Support in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and stakeholders

**What You'll Bring**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 1-5 years of practical experience in logistics procurement
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex supplier relationships
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with responsible sourcing principles and commitment to sustainable procurement practices
- Spend more than 80% at our Grünheide (Mark) office with occasional travel to vendor locations
