**Your Role**
As an Applied Data Scientist, you will drive smart product development and portfolio management by designing data-driven tools and solutions. Your responsibilities include:

- Implementing advanced machine learning techniques and data modeling.
- Leading customer projects and contributing to R&T’s digital strategy.
- Enhancing the digital platform **PropheSY**and supporting innovation initiatives.
- Aligning data science strategies with Group IT and advising on R&T requirements.
- Coordinating stakeholder needs and promoting best practices across teams.
- Supporting both cloud and on-premises solutions with scalable, efficient models.

**About You**
**Education & Experience**:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in data science within a research and technology environment.

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning.
- Experience with **Databricks**, R, or KNIME.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps (Git, Docker, Bash).
- Familiarity with ModelOps tools (e.g., MLFlow) is a plus.

**Languages**:

- Fluent in **English**(spoken and written).
- Proficient in **German**is highly desirable.

**Additional Skills**:

- Project management experience is a plus.
- Open to new technologies and ideas.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

**Preferred Industry Experience**:

- Background in the **flavor or food industry**is a strong advantage.
