AERQ is a joint venture between LG Electronics and Lufthansa Technik which stands for the digitalization of the airplane cabin. We develop and manufacture innovative aircraft components designed to enhance the passenger experience and enable new perspectives for airlines. Headquartered in Hamburg, we are utilizing expertise and experience from both of our founding members and are currently expanding our operations.

We are currently looking for a

**UX Design Lead (M/F/d)**:

To join our Engineering & Development team.

**What you will do**:

- Lead and mentor the UX design team, providing direction and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
- Create and facilitate an environment that supports consistent UX and processes across the product ecosystem
- Develop a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time.
- Develop and maintain UX design systems and standards that promote consistency, usability, and scalability across all our products and services.
- Provide recommendations for UX strategy and solutions.
- Manage the team’s activities and process to create high-quality solutions that provide great experiences.
- Inform product teams and business stakeholders of potential user experience pain points and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product management, engineeringand testing) to identify user needs, define product requirements, and develop innovative solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX design trends, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.
- Champion user-centric design practices throughout the organization, promoting a culture of empathy and continuous improvement.

**Who you are**:

- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of designers and drive the development of innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts to non-design stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and implementing UX design systems and standards that promote consistency, usability, and scalability.
- Strong knowledge of UX design tools and methodologies, including user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and usability testing.
- Experience in developing and implementing user research and testing programs that provide actionable insights that inform design decisions and improve user outcomes is a plus
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
- Experience in Aviation is a plus
