**Job Description**:
Work on a smaller, experienced, cross-discipline team to explore multi technology solutions centered around Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Who we are looking for:
In this role, you will work on the Architecture Enablement Team, a small international team of architects, thought leaders, and problem solvers, with the opportunity to work throughout the Information Solutions space. You will work primarily with product management, development, and delivery partners & customers, and will less frequently interact with other stakeholders. This position is MES focused, but will focus on MES in the context of its evolution into broader solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works under general direction of Platform Lead, Engineering Lead, and Platform Managers. Will work with other senior architects, clear - bridging the space between customers, product development, product ownership, and delivery partners as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collaborate with customers, internal leaders, and delivery partners in the exploration and implementation of end-to-end business solutions, knitting together solutions with available technology, while driving portfolio improvements.
- Provide architectural and technical consulting on an as-needed basis to business units and product teams. Assist with critical high profile problem resolution.
- Develop and socialize best practices and reference solutions to help accelerate time to results for system integrators for our portfolio offerings.
- Experiment and explore future manufacturing needs and explore new avenues to overcome obstacles by utilizing the latest technologies and standards.
- Maintain technical expertise in field. Keep current through contacts with educational institutions, professional societies, and technical publications. Maintain awareness of applicable new technologies, processes, and competitive trends.
- Promote and coordinate technical activities with standards organizations, consortia, government agencies, leading universities, and other Rockwell organizations on a select basis.
- Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong English Language Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 - 7 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering software centric manufacturing solutions, with a preference for MES or MOM systems.
- Knowledge of GxP manufacturing processes and familiarity with 21CFR part 11.
- Demonstrated success leading end users through requirements gathering, fit gap analysis, and specification of complex manufacturing related solutions.
- Familiarity in software development and debugging, with languages including Java, JavaScript, Python, SCALA, C/C++/C#
- Maintain compliance of company certifications and/or training (Safety, Ethics, role specific).
- Actively staying aware of technology and industry trends by attending industry symposiums or trade shows and/or reading technical papers or publications, as applicable.
- Requires interpersonal, leadership, organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
