The Computer Vision & Graphics group of the Vision & Imaging Technologies (VIT) department is looking for students for the development of a system for hand vein recognition. In collaboration with an industrial partner, we are developing a robust system for contactless palm vein identification based on time-of-flight (ToF) and infrared (IR) sensors. We are looking for support to build a demonstrator and optimize individual components. Be a part of our team and come on a journey of research and innovation

**What you will do**

We are looking for working students to support the development and implementation of a demonstrator. Your tasks may include the following topics:

- Development of a robust hand tracking method for improved exposure control.
- Development of an automatic IR exposure control
- Implementation of a graphical user interface for interaction

**What you bring to the table**
- Very good programming skills in C++
- Ideally basic knowledge of computer vision and computer graphics
- Fun with analytical thinking
- Structured way of working, independently as well as within a team
