GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (M/W/D) - Kehl, Germany

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Mission or Purpose of the Role**
- Manage accounting processes for multiple entities across different countries, requiring an understanding of diverse financial regulations and compliance standards.
- **Accounting**
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process and monitor expense reports and reimbursements.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions into our tech stack (SAP Business ByDesign, HubSpot, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations, particularly for entities in countries with different legal frameworks.
- **Monthly Closing and Reporting**
- Reconcile and analyse account balances to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies and variances in financial data.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the consolidation of international group entities into comprehensive reports.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial performance and variances.
- Prepare financial reports in accordance with local regulations and group-wide consolidation standards, ensuring adherence to multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements.
- **Other Financial Projects**
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
- Provide expertise on legal accounting requirements for companies over 100 employees
- **Key Stakeholders or Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Bring his/her analytical capabilities and problem solving skills in strategic cross-department projects and initiatives.
- **Impact of the Role**
- Play a critical role in handling the accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closings, and preparing comprehensive financial reports.
- **Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 to 12 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
- **Technical Skills**
- Strong knowledge of legal and accounting regulations in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional context.
- Familiarity with German accounting, especially for companies with more than 100 employees or 10 million euros in turnover.
- Fluency in English and German, other languages would be appreciated.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
