(Junior) Translator

**WHAT YOU´LL DO**

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic translator/translation specialist to join our Language Management and Translation team. You will work with various product teams and other key stakeholders to provide customer-facing translation deliverables.

Your tasks will include:

- Translation of user interface texts and other user assistance assets (English to German)
- Research, definition, and maintenance of terminology
- Ensuring translatability of and providing feedback on source texts
- Quality checks and testing of translated UIs and documentation
- Handling queries from external agencies
- Collaboration with translators, translation coordinators, and our central service team colleagues at Language Experience Lab, as well as developers, user assistance developers, and designers

You will also have the opportunity to participate in and drive translation-related topics and projects. We are looking for someone who likes to take the initiative and who is passionate about delivering innovation to our customers.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Degree in translation at a university or a university of applied sciences and work experience in the field of translation/localization (English to German)
- Native or bilingual proficiency in German with excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in virtual teams
- Flexibility and readiness to acquire new skills at short notice
- Quality awareness and knowledge of quality assurance processes
- Computer skills: MS Office, translation memory tools: SDL Trados, XTM etc.
- Interest in and knowledge about trends in the translation industry

We are a team of English and German translators within the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) Core Design organization. Our aim is to create a great user experience for our customers by delivering high-quality translations of our products while working in close contact with developers, user assistance developers and UX designers. Our team is also responsible for translation project management, translation enablement, language editing as well as contributing to the overall translation tool and technology landscape at SAP through cross-projects and initiatives.
