**Sr. Accountant (M/F/d)**

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant with a proven background in accounting principles and financial reporting to enhance our accounting operations. You will collaborate closely with the Finance team to oversee account management, drive accurate financial reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. You will also play a pivotal role in month-end reconciliations, audit preparation, and ensure compliance with both company policies and relevant accounting standards (HGB, IFRS). Your insights will help streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and maintain financial integrity across all activities.

**You will**:

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports
- Perform month-end reconciliations of bank statements, credit cards, and other accounts
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Ensure financial practices adhere to company policies and accounting standards (HGB, IFRS)
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and financial forecasts
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices

**The next Moonfarian**:

- At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or finance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software (DATEV, Xero, or others) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Pigment is a plus
- Proven understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills in German
- Sound organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing environments
- Experience in Private Equity is a plus
