**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As a Senior Applied Scientist in the Content Visibility team you will develop Machine Learning products that automatically create personalized, engaging and inspiring content experiences for our 51+ million customers.
**WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:
- Advance the machine learning products that create the content experience for our customers in real time on the Zalando homepage
- Solve real world challenges using ML, such as tailoring content for each individual customer to create a relevant and inspiring experience that drives value for customers and partners
- Engage with some of the most exciting opportunities in the intersection of Full-page Recommendation, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, and Customer Behavior Prediction
- Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues within the team, applied science leaders, product managers and business stakeholders. Mentor junior and mid level applied scientists and contribute to our applied science community
**WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:
- Ph.D., MSc or equivalent experience in Machine Learning or Data Science
- Solid experience building fit-for-purpose ML models, in the areas of recommendation, reinforcement learning, or customer behavior prediction. Hands-on experience with current deep learning architectures in production is a plus.
- Strong experience in Python and ML libraries, TensorFlow/Keras, or PyTorch, and experience with Spark SQL
- Ability to take ownership of data science initiatives and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
