**Responsibilities**:
Job Purpose:
Overall responsibility for managing legal matters in DACH, including data privacy by providing strategic legal support and guidance to advance the company’s business with consideration to legal risks. Ability to establish direction and legal vision for DACH and align people. Proactively work to mitigate potential legal problems, analyse and provide legal perspective on key management matters. Oversee outside counsel in managing the legal matters of the company in DACH

Key Responsibilities:

- Full-fledged responsibility for legal affairs for DACH, including contract management, legal dispute management and data privacy.
- Be an active and commercially-minded business partner and provide pragmatic and timely legal advice
- Keep local business management aware of significant legal and corporate developments and trends in support of company
- Ensure that staff are provided with the appropriate ongoing training to ensure legal and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy.
- Work closely with all departments to agree compliant business strategies and

Qualifications:
Position Requirements:

- Native in German and fluent in English (oral and written).
- German qualified lawyer who has completed the second German Bar Exam with a minimum of 8+ years PQE in the pharmaceutical or life science industry
- First class technical legal skills in pharmaceutical law, competition law, commercial law, data privacy and regulatory law (Arzneimittelrecht, Heilmittelwerberecht, Wettbewerbs-, Kartellrecht, Datenschutzrecht und allgemeinen Vertrags
- und Wirtschaftsrecht as well as SGB V) and preferably also in data protection
- Demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on the spot risk
- Leadership experience with an ability to work in partnership with other departments.
- Ability to contribute to EMEA projects.
