Working Student: Data Science

**Data is everything**:You develop, test and evaluate solutions for analytics use cases from data collection and preprocessing, including knowledge extraction all the way to visualization of insights
- **Focus on the future**:You implement State-of-the-Art ML/DL Models for product demand forecasting, with focus on feature engineering, model training and evaluation of the performance
- **Inform your colleagues**:You create presentations on progress, outcome and value of analytics use cases to management
- **Holistic overview**:You contribute to the overall roadmap and systematic approach for data analytics at our PSS division

You have excellent analytical skills as well as a clear understanding of how data analytics creates value-add in strategic business decisions. With your creative and solution-oriented mindset, you think outside the box and are always eager to try out new concepts and improve. Your self-driven entrepreneurial spirit makes you comfortable with a high degree of freedom while executing tasks. You are enthusiastic, have very good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and work in a structured and methodical manner.
- **Study field**: You have passed your undergraduate studies (Bachelor) in (business)informatics, information systems/technology, computer science, engineering or a similar field with excellent results
- **Experience**:You have gained relevant experience in setting up data pipelines including e.g. systematic data collection, data-/text-/web-mining, machine learning, natural language processing and data visualization
- **Skills**:

- You are familiar with theoretical concepts of machine learning and datamining including processes such as CRISP-DM and which problem can be solved with which type of algorithm and what their limitations are
- You already worked on time series forecasting tasks and applied ML/DL algorithms
- You possess good skills in analytics software/tools as well as in programming languages such as Python, R, Jupyter Notebook, Tableau
- **Interests**:You have a passion for economics and market dynamics
- **Language skills**:You have a good command of English, good knowledge of German is a plus

Important information:

- **Working part-time**: The focus is on studies. Therefore, working student is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- **Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome**: You must be enrolled and the examination results or modules of your studies must not have been completed yet, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months. You must also not be in a semester of leave.
- **You should live close to the site**: It is important for us to work with you on site and to integrate you into the team. You should therefore be able to come to the site regularly.
