**Your tasks**:

- Development of an independent research project in Philosophy of Mind and/or Philosophy of Cognitive Science
- Publications in academic journals
- Application for Third-Party Funding
- Teaching. Teaching can also be in English to support our international study programs, e.g., MA in Cognitive Science and MA in Philosophy: Focus Theoretical Philosophy.
- Participation in academic administration in the faculty
- The scope of the teaching obligation is based on - 3 of the Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung NRW (Teaching Obligation Ordinance NRW)

**Your profile**:

- Applicants are expected to have an excellent PhD in Philosophy and possess expertise in the Cognitive Sciences, documented by a representative publication record.
- They are interested in interdisciplinary research in this area and in developing new research projects.

**Further information**:
The position is on a civil servant basis and is governed by the relevant civil service regulations, in particular the Landesbeamtengesetz (LBG NRW) and the Laufbahnverordnung (LVO).
After the personal and career requirements have been met, the salary is paid in grade A13 Landesbesoldungsgesetz NRW

The place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.
