**Searching for postdocs and PhD students interested in researching information-based attacks on the internet and/or the impact of machine learning on the criminal justice system (M/F/x)**:
The fundamental research about how information is manipulated online and how machine learning contributes to and helps mitigate this manipulation is one of the main aspects. Researching information-based attacks on the internet and/or the impact of machine learning on the criminal justice system is another aspect for our research work.

**Your tasks**:
- Fundamental Academic Research
- Publication of research results in leading international venues Active collaboration with other group members and external research partners Participation in academic events and conferences
- Optional: Support in drafting and submitting research proposals
- Optional: Teaching assistance for courses of the group and supervision of bachelor and master students
**Your profile**:
Your Profile (PhD Students):
- Required: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Preferred: Related Research Experience
Your Profile (Postdocs):
- Required: PhD in Computer Science or related field
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Required: Publication of research results in leading international venues
German is not required for these positions, but German courses are available for anyone interested in learning the language.

**Further information**:
The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L). If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E13 TV-L.
The place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.
The load of teaching will be calculated according to - 3 of Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung (state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
