**YOUR TASKS**

**YOUR PROFILE**
An internationally recognized research profile and experienced acquisition of third-party funding is expected. The future research concept should support and complement the research focus areas of the Medical Faculty. In close cooperation with the various groups of the biomedical campus Cologne, innovative therapy concepts should be developed. Furthermore, close collaboration with the clinical institutes and centers is expected. This can comprise interactions with the Center for Clinical Studies and may cover the areas of pharmacometrics and therapeutic drug monitoring.
A strong commitment to teaching and an intensive involvement in the further development of pharmacology education in the study program of human medicine as well as other study programs and graduate programs in which the Medical Faculty participates is expected.
Prerequisites for this position are teaching and leadership experience. The position further requires postgraduate medical training, the active involvement in academic self-administration, as well as active participation in the Drug Commission of the University Hospital Cologne and the Ethics Commission of the Faculty.
Employment requirements are a university degree in human medicine, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, scientific achievements according to - 36 of the
Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westfalia (HG NRW), as well as the certification as a specialist for clinical pharmacology or pharmacology and toxicology.

The position begins on 01.10.2026. Formal requirements are detailed in Section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz - HG NRW). As a rule, the teaching load comprises nine semester hours per week (i.e., two hours per week is one 90-minute course per semester).
