Senior Instructional Designer

Your tasks

Continental aims to build up a Service Center for Learning, supporting internal customers globally to develop and deploy efficient and high-quality learning items. Within your role as a Senior Instructional Designer (M/F/diverse) in the Service Center Learning you will be responsible for:

- Consulting internal customers on how to translate their learning objectives into effective learning items (focus on online learning items)
- Creating engaging, high quality learning activities and compelling course content in Vyond, Articulate Storyline, SimpleShow, TTKF, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia (knowledge of additional tools is an advantage)
- Working with (Subject Matter) Experts (SMEs) and Learning Experts designing learner-centric solutions
- Functionally leading a team of learning designers within the GPS L&T Service Team in Timisoara
- Creating Blueprints and standards to ensure high quality production by the extended Learning Design team
- Designing of supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations,)
- Conducting research and analysis on learning trends and technologies
- Becoming an active member of Continental’s Learning Community
- Community Management with the global community of de-central Learning Designers
- Supporting purchasing process with external design vendors, if applicable

**Profile**:

- Academic degree in economics, psychology, pedagogy, graphical design or comparable studies with several years of relevant professional experience
- Proven working experience in instructional design and with authoring tools (Vyond, Storyline, Adobe Captivate, SimpleShow) in a fast-paced environment and preferably SAP’s Learning Management System
- Visual design skills (e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
- Good knowledge of MS Office 365
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts in English language
- Excellent problem-solving skills, creative power and quality orientation
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills
- Experience in leading projects, project management skills
- High customer orientation, ability to understand and connect with internal customers from diverse functional backgrounds
- Intercultural competence
- A passion for learning and digital solutions as well as for current trends in HR and talent development to pioneer future learning

**Offer**:

- The position requires good knowledge of Authoring tools (as minimum Vyond and Storyline) and ability to train others
- The position is hybrid, with four days of remote work and one day per week physical presence in the office in Hannover
- Travel to Timisoara, Romania is required every 6-8 weeks
