This UX Designer will work directly with the website team (UX PM, Dev, UX Writer and Visual Designer) to lead design for the AWS Design System website, including information architecture, site features, content types, site strategy and roadmap.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the UX design and IA of the AWS Design System website.
- Lead the design of useful, usable, and desirable design patterns in a team environment.
- Understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback.
- Facilitate the design process, present and iterate on design solutions.
- Continually iterate and evolve the way we design for and learn from our customers.
- Present design work to teams and managers for review and feedback.
- Incorporate customer feedback, technical constraints, and usability findings into design.
- Work closely with engineering teams during implementation.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers throughout AWS.

- Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree.
- Experience working on Design Systems.
- Fluency in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.
- Experience with UX design for complex workflows.
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma and Sketch.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
