**Job brief**:
We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Expert for our team (onsite in Berlin) to provide smooth running IT services for the organisation.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Manage our Linux based server infrastructure for various research projects - both cloud-based and in-house
- Plan and supervise our network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) including open-source security (Firewall, IPS, Proxy, VPN gateway, SIEM)
- Manage containerised environments
- Monitor our infrastructure to identify, optimise and resolve potential performance and security problems
- Responsible for IT on/off-boarding and generic O365 support
- Enable our team of researchers by providing smoothly running IT services
- Be the go-to person for any MacOS / Linux related requests from the team
- Guide the team and clients in questions of infrastructure and data security

**What do you bring?**
- Significant experience (at least 3 years) as Linux / UNIX System Administrator
- Have experience with monitoring health / performance and patching Linux servers regularly in a production environment
- Experience with setting up and troubleshooting MacOS devices
- Experience in handling VMWare ESX / vCenter
- Is familiar using wireshark to look at IPv4 / IPv6 / DNS / HTTP / IPsec / TLS / SS7 / GTP ++
- Open to administering MS Office365
- Passionate about Infrastructure-as-code (ansible, terraform)
- You are comfortable using SSH / GIT / GPG / tcpdump / openVPN on a daily basis
- A strong security mindset
- You enjoy learning and be updated about new technologies

**Nice to have**
- Experience in Docker/ Kubernetes
- Experienced with IaaS (AWS, GPC, Azure)
