**About you**

Packaging and Specialty Plastics (PS&P) has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior TS&D Leader (M/F/d) **in the Infrastructure, Consumer, Transportation (ICT) group. The role is located in **Wiesbaden**, Germany. The individual in this role will be responsible to lead the EMEA Wire & Cable (W&C) TS&D team and the rebuilding of ICT lab operations. This individual will provide supervision and leadership to a high value creation team of W&C TS&D employees, developing and executing a strong innovation growth and profit in alignment with long term business strategy. The Senior TS&D Leader will drive the short, med and long-term people development plans to support innovation strategy, owning effective project portfolio management, synergies and cross functional collaboration with marketing and sales.

Moreover, the Senior TS&D Leader will also be responsible to start up and lead the Wiesbaden Labs, onboarding new talents, assuring safe operations and high lab standards, collaborating with other local leaders to integrate and align P&SP operations to DOW and local site plus developing a brand strategy as a leading science and technology company. Additionally, the individual in this role will partner with other P&SP market segments and Packstudios capabilities to drive strategic initiatives across the department, including those in the area of sustainability and digitization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide supervision and leadership to EMEA TS&D W&C group and lab technologists located in Wiesbaden, Germany
- Accountable for performance management, team building, reward and recognition, employee and leadership development and engagement.
- Supports the development of short
- and long-term people resource based on the innovation strategy for the organization. Executes recruiting strategies and succession plans for critical roles within the organization.
- Ensure proper allocation of technical resources to support existing and new W&C customers
- Develops, prioritizes, and manages W&C project portfolio and technology platforms within support of innovation targets for the business. Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance in order to identify, champion, and charter projects in support of strategic objectives.
- Champion the development of strong IP portfolio and documentation within the department.
- Interface and collaborate with other EMEA TS&D leaders and commercial organization to align Innovation pipeline with business strategy
- Represents TS&D on multifunctional teams like EMEA W&C Value Center Team
- Start-up and lead the Wiesbaden Lab and partner with relevant functions to implement and maintain ISO 9001 certification for the P&SP labs in Wiesbaden
- Serves as the Environmental, Health & Safety advocate for work group, ensuring understanding and adherence to policies and procedures, and leads team in promotion of best safety practices, habits, and behaviors
- Manage prime expenses, define capital strategy, oversee capital budget for the group, and lead development of new capabilities to accelerate innovation and support business growth
- Work with platform and project leaders to develop, prioritize, and manage the strategic prioritization and execution of projects in the lab including those around sustainability, digitization, training, and talent development
- Interface and collaborate with local logistic, EH&S, maintenance and other EMEA labs to streamline lab and warehouse operation
- Be a visible advocate for safety, inclusion and diversity
- Responsible for attracting and retaining diverse talent and developing an inclusive, high performance global team

**Required qualification**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Research and Development Environment
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in people management
- Strong safety mindset and knowledge of EH&S requirements
