Logistics Management Specialist

**Duties**:

- This position will serve as the Logistics Management Specialist under the authority of 2D Theater Signal Brigade in support of all incoming and outgoing USAREUR-AF G6 property.
- The incumbent will assistant the appointed Accountable Officer (AO) in maintaining accountability of DPAS major custodians’ property listed in Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- The Logistics Management Specialist will be directly responsible for accountability and inventory management of project stock listed in DPAS for all USAREUR-AF G6 received shipments and assisting the current AO.
- This position also involves working in conjunction with twelve (12) warehouse contractors that is part of the Operation Maintenance and Supply-Europe (OPMAS-E) contract.
- Incumbent will assist Accountable Officer in monitoring supply activities to include a central shipping and receiving point encompassing two warehouses.
- Coordinates logístical support to subordinate units and communication sites throughout Europe and various forward locations.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. The IT classification for this position is IT- III. This position is designated as non-critical sensitive, Tier 3.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport
- Incumbent must be able to perform as Logistics Management Specialist and shall complete applicable online courses within two months of employment and attend Defense Property Accountability Systems,
- (DPAS) training certificate within six months of employment.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain or have a 40-hour certificate completion of Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A),
- Unit Supply Course, (LOG 73A) and Warehouse Operation, (LOG 82A) within 6 months of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.

**This position is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Level within the CES Occupational Structure.**

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by **(1)** managing accountability and inventory utilizing automated accountability system, such as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS); **(2)** monitoring supply activities, such as shipping and/or receiving; **(3)** coordinating logístical support; **(4) **reviewing operating procedures for compliance with Army regulations and Federal Acquisition Regulations.

**Education**: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Advanced Supply Chain Management, Business Law, and Service Management.

**Combination of Education and Experience**: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
