**Your mission**:

- Sustain and grow our internal fungal strain bank
- Prepare inoculum and supervise seed lines for fermentation runs
- Prepare relevant media and precultures for diverse R&D experiments
- Set-up reactors / fermenters for trials from lab to pilot scale
- Take and process samples from fermentation trials to gain knowledge from every fermentation runs
- Write, review and update SOPs to consolidate internal know-how and ensure structured and reproducible workflows
- Support in maintaining and fixing laboratory equipment

**Your profile**:

- Training as BTA or BSc with focus on Bioengineering, Process engineering or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience working in a lab and pilot environment
- 4+ year of experience running fermentation and biocatalysis trials at different scale
- Hands-on, flexible and pragmatic mindset
- Familiar with analytical methods such as UV-vis, HPLC, GC-MS, cell dry weight measurement, etc..
- Familiar with general safety guidelines and working protocols pertaining to the work in a biological and chemical lab
- Effective team player with a solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc ) and other device-specific software relevant in a lab environment
- Fluent in English and German
