**Job description**:
For our headquarters in Munich we are looking for a **(Senior) Operations Controller (M/F/d)** - join Europe’s leading online retailer of pet supplies now

In this role, you report directly to the Chief Operations Officer. You will be working with the Operations Leadership Team and our central controlling department to deliver complete transparency related to all matters regarding project related financial planning, steering and controlling. You will be consulting the different stakeholder with meaningful reports, analytics and the creation of business cases and preparation of decision making by the COO.

**Your tasks include among others**:

- You proactively and independently create analyses and reports and develop them further, including the derivation of recommendations for action
- Preparation of ad hoc analyses and interpretation of results from an operational management perspective
- Be the operations counterpart to the Finance department, when it comes to cost controlling and analysis on budget deviations
- Project controlling and budget/actual deviation analysis for COO areas projects and creation of action plans together with the Heads of department
- Review and support business case preparation for functional departments for new project launches and decision making by the COO
- Coordinate and support the Head of Departments in yearly companywide budgeting process in alignment with the Finance department
- Support in the yearly goal setting process and implementation in the COO departments
- Align with the CFO controlling department to ensure group wide standards in the COO area

**Requirements**:
**We are looking for this profile**:

- Successfully completed business studies, ideally with a focus on operations management / controlling / finance
- Several years of professional experience in controlling of an internationally operating company - experience in ecommerce or logistics would be a plus
- Very good knowledge in the use of Excel
- Knowledge in the use of business intelligence systems (e.g. SAP BW), Tableau and SQL would be an advantage
- Fluent in written and spoken English - German would be a plus
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think cross-functionally, but also out-of-the-box
- High level of communication skills and confident manner towards various stakeholders
