**Your tasks**:
**You will**
- Lead our Cloud Infrastructure & SRE teams to architect, build and run and scale AWS infrastructure for our customer projects
- Lead the professional growth of the existing members in your team as well as hire new engineers as needed
- Drive AWS infrastructure innovation to enable fast and sustainable solutions for the engineering teams
- Work with the engineers to ensure our GitLab deployments are lightning-fast and reliable
- Improve tools and advocate operational excellence for continuous monitoring, self-healing systems and alert transparency
- Own and guide top tier issue mitigations and drive blameless postmortems
- Define key SLI’s and shape quality-focused SLO’s
- Act as escalation instance in case of service interruptions and incidents;
- Oversee the execution in the team, following agile practices such as Kanban or Scrum;

**Your Profile**:

- 5+ years of experience in DevOps and 2+ years in leading a DevOps or SRE team;
- Deep experience with AWS-based infrastructure - being familiar with AWS-specific solutions models, networking, and best practices.
- Experience in hiring, leading and mentoring infrastructure engineers
- Experience in effective monitoring, alerting and incident management setups
- Knowledge in the architecture of distributed systems, in particular tracing, and metrics is highly beneficial.
- Strong technical understanding of IaC, Git, CICD and building highly available infrastructure using AWS
- Knowledge and practical experience with the software development life cycle;
- Strongly skilled in programming languages like Go, Java, Python or Javascript
- Resilient hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation and telemetry
- Intrinsic curiosity paired with troubleshooting skills and a drive for root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills, also handling critical situations;
