Senior Warehouse Operator

At its Berlin location, Biosynth GmbH carries out contract development and manufacturing in the field of bioconjugation and polymer-based administration of active ingredients.

**Purpose of the Role**

Ensuring the smooth running of the Warehouse.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping chemical products
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety standards and proper storage practices
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on safe handling procedures for chemicals and hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper labelling and documentation of chemical products
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and quality control, to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders
- Troubleshoot any issues related to warehouse operations, including equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and optimize efficiency
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Proven experience in a senior warehouse role, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities
- German B2 level and above
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace
- Experience with using IT programs, such as Microsoft Word & Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic Outlook and SAP skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with stock control systems
- Previous experience working in a chemical warehouse environment would be preferred
- A forklift truck license would be an advantage but not essential
