As the Team Lead Geophysics Department, you are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the geophysics and Metocean team to support RWE Offshore Wind‘s Projects.
You bring in a combination of leadership skills, technical and strategical view to support RWE Offshore Wind in the future.
As the Team Lead Geophysics Department, you are responsible for overseeing a team of technical experts in the Geophysics, Hydrography and Metocean disciplines.
You will be required to work closely with the lead experts to ensure technical expertise is at the forefront of the way of working
**Your main tasks will be**:
- Guide your team regarding their responsibility for strategy, definition, optimisation, and management of geophysical, metocean and ground modelling to support development, construction and operation of offshore wind farms
- Forward plan resourcing needs of the team and supply chain
- Function as key account to Offshore Development projects to ensure efficient project resourcing, efficient and effective interface to stakeholders, including set-up of standardized processes/structures for the department
- Drive cross-project collaboration to optimise efficiency of work done and ensure a robust review process for deliverables is in place
- Support Procurement in strategy development for supply chain and supplier engagement in cooperation with Geotechnical teams
- Define and track department KPIs and promote continuous process and tool improvement for own area of responsibility
- Support your team members and support their personal and career development as a leader and a coach
**Your profile**:
- In addition to a completed degree in a geoscience, you have gained in-depth knowledge and job-related experience
- In the past, you have consistently demonstrated your abilities in a comparable position
- Attention to detail, a technical and strategic approach, and commitment to high-quality outcomes assure the effectiveness of your initiatives, projects, and procedures
- Leading employees, even if they work at different international locations, comes just as naturally to you as integrating new divisions and providing guidance in times of change
- You have gathered experiences in an internationally acting matrix organisation and know how to juggle different time zones, cultures, and languages
- Business fluency in English is a pre-requisite for this position
