Simulation Solution Architect

In Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) we are developing world leading game-based military simulations for major NATO powers and their allies. We are constantly looking for ways to advance the whole industry with disruptive virtual, tactical, military simulation domain, using the latest technologies and trends (such as whole world simulation, virtual reality and motion tracking).

**_ This role is not suitable for IT solution architecture/systems engineers without virtual simulation specific experience._**

The BISim TSS is a hybrid role and can be best described as a Technical Project Manager, Solution Architect or a Systems Engineer for the Defence simulation and Training Industry. Exposure and knowledge to both the Defence industry and experience in software, systems or computer based technology is paramount for success as a TSS.

The BISim TSS team works alongside Business Development, Project Management, Product Management and Development Directors to facilitate the early definition of projects, products and requirements originating from our military or industry customers. TSS play a critical role in winning new business as they manage key aspects of developing solutions, getting development estimates and approvals, and technical proposal writing.

Although principally an EMEA local resource, as the TSS you will be heavily involved with cooperation between the international BISim offices and customers. The role involves detailed customer meetings and demonstrations, including travel to customer sites around EMEA.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Support Business Development with demonstrations of the BISim portfolio to customers.
- Early customer engagement for project scoping and definition.
- Technical ‘solutioneering’ from customer requirements to internal solutions.
- Support internal development project planning and resourcing.
- Internal Business Development technical resource across the entirety of the BISim portfolio of capabilities. Internal business case writing.
- Technical proposal writing.
- Liaison with international Development Directors and Product Management to coordinate technology development and resource planning.

**Education & Experience**
- Degree level or above in numerate, physics or computer science field or equivalent.
- Experience in military research and development.
- Military simulation and interoperability standards.
- Experience in complex simulation technology (hardware and software).
- Detailed knowledge of software development process and principles.
- Customer requirements management.
- Comfortable with EMEA contracting procedures.
- Experience with government procurement processes and contracts.

**Nice to have**
- Willingness to travel, when required with sufficient notice.
- Previous leadership experience specifically in a technical domain.
- Detailed understanding of the practical use of VBS in military simulation.
- French language.
