Senior Accountant

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Full ownership of our profit and loss statement and balance sheet including all accounting processes such as Accounts receivable, Accounts payable and Fixed assets Responsibility for month-end closings and preparation of the monthly financial statements and other financial reports in Netsuite (our ERP System)
- Responsibility for VAT tax filings and all tax related matters with our external Tax Advisor in Germany. (USA taxation knowledge is a plus)
- Closely cooperate with our Controlling and maintain data according to our steering framework (e.g. profit center and cost center data maintenance)
- Further development and optimization of our internal processes
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations in Germany.
- Being the contact person for all accounting-related issues
- Support in the Go Live of our US entity, build up of transfer pricing framework and execution of transfer pricing agreements
- Helping with the in-housing of our accounting (currently we are still working with an external Tax Advisor) and the roll out of Netsuite (we are currently using DATEV)

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

- 5+ relevant years of Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Excellent knowledge of the German accounting regulations and procedures (HGB) and ideally experience with US GAAP
- Hands-on experience with Netsuite and ideally DATEV
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive and able to drive projects independently
- Communicative German language skills (B2+)
