We are looking for an Accountant (M/F/d), based in Munich.

**Your Team**
The Closing & Reporting Team is responsible for the non insurance related closing under IFRS, HGB and Solvency II, the preparation of the annual report of AGCS SE as well as for several regulatory and management reporting.

As a member of the team, a large part of your role will be to provide expert advice and insight to our colleagues from departments and subsidiaries across the globe.

**The Impact You Will Have**
This role offers a unique challenge for an experienced Accountant with an international accounting/taxation or finance/controlling background.

Unlike many accountancy roles, this opportunity is not focused on AR, AP, payroll, expenses or invoice posting. You will have a significant impact upon our global business: from general ledger (investment and corporate income taxes) to Closing; from Reporting to providing a truly consultative service to our global stakeholders. Questions could range from: “What do we have to adjust from an accounting perspective due to the new global minimum tax regulations?” to “What is the impact of ESG on our regulatory reporting?” There’s so much opportunity to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to demonstrate their ability to work across multiple complex challenges and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Ensure that all financial closing and reporting tasks are accurately completed to deadline
- Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements for IFRS and local reporting requirements (HGB/Solvency II)
- Prepare and present management report with analysis and commentary. Providing additional insight as requested
- Liaise with international subsidiaries and branches of AGCS SE and assist in answering financial closing related questions from our Allianz Group Accounting department
- Perform regular account reconciliations for the accounts
- Coordinate and perform internal quality controls
- Participate in international finance projects and change management initiatives in an agile environment
- Assist in the development and improvement of processes and the implementation of internal controls
- Be the point of contact for internal and external auditors.

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- Experience in international accounting/taxation, finance or controlling
- Very good knowledge of IFRS (i.a. IFRS9) and experience in dealing with complex accounting issues
- Excellent MS Office skills (including Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Experience of SAP FI and SAP BW
- Good analytical skills with regards to data analysis, process/workflows and providing expert advice on complex financial queries
- Self-starter who enjoys driving solutions forward and takes an innovative approach to resolving queries
- Excellent communication skills, confident working in a global environment. Excellent English is essential. Additional German language skills are ideal.
