Numbers run the business: In the Finance Department, we see ourselves as a business partner and enabler for our operating teams and management. We facilitate a smart corporate and financial strategy with technical expertise across accounting, regulatory, tax and strategic financial planning & analysis, allowing Trade Republic to make educated decisions at every step. We believe in the power of numbers and the story they tell.

***WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:

- Lead the Accounting function, report directly to our CFO and work closely with the management team
- Lead the continued development and scale-up of the accounting function, including reporting (entities, branches, group consolidation), technical accounting standards (HGB and IFRS) and systems development (SAP ERP) to support the company's expansion into new products and markets
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (e.g. tech, product, compliance, strategy and financial planning) and external service providers (e.g. auditors, consultants)

**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

- Experienced leader with 10+ years of relevant professional and hands-on operational experience in the banking sector, a fintech and/or accounting and audit, position in a top-tier firm
- Excellent knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting rules - if someone from your team comes to you with a difficult technical question, you will be able to efficiently guide them into the right direction
- Self-driven personality with a bias to action and high attention to detail - you are able to quickly understand new challenges and provide structure to help your team tackle them efficiently
- Pronounced leadership and communication skills - people follow your lead, you interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels and navigate well under pressure
- Operational experience in a fast-paced, ever changing, high-growth organization will be a plus
