The EHS Specialist (f/m/d), together with the local EHS team and the specialist departments as well as the regional EHS team, ensures the continuous development of the management systems and the prevention culture.

Main Responsibilities:

- Management systems - planning and coordinating internal and external audits, as well as ensuring the effective implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement measures
- Projects -Independent and responsible planning, coordination, and execution of operational requirements and projects resulting from legal obligations, continuous improvement plans, internal standards, and management systems
- Day-to-day business - Supporting the specialist departments on EHS topics in day-to-day business and in the implementation of their EHS-relevant processes, such as the preparation of risk assessments, planning and implementation of instructions, incident investigations as well as in the interpretation and implementation of legal requirements
- Contingency planning - Regularly reviewing and updating contingency plans, as well as planning and conducting emergency drills and incorporating lessons learned from the drills into updating contingency plans and the lessons to be learned from them
- Campaigns and Events - Planning, coordination, communication and implementation of global, regional and local EHS programs and campaigns at the site, such as the lifesavers, activities on sustainability days as well as the planning and implementation of the EHS days together with the local organizing team.

Qualified applicants must:
Mandatory requirements:

- Successfully completed studies in a Engineering or Food related arena
- Trained occupational safety specialist
- Previous experience with German health, safety and environmental laws and guidelines
- Professional experience in a production environment
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with other software systems such as QUENTIC and Cority

Desirable Requirements:

- Ideally, experience with the introduction and maintenance of the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
- Additional trainings in Environmental Health regulations
