For our German site in **Wesseling near Cologne**, we are looking for a

**Turnaround Cost Control Lead (**M/F/d)**

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**

As the Turnaround Cost Controls Lead (M/F/d) you are responsible for leading development of turnaround cost estimates and forecasting costs from initiation to completion. You will support turnarounds at sites in Germany and on request in Europe, as well as specific initiatives for business studies or system / process development.
- Develops/issues the Turnaround Cost control plan
- Ensure all Key Controls are in place and effective, meeting all required regulations Develop the Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimate and the control budget at execution
- Develop transfer estimates for capital project work executed in the turnaround and interface with project organizations
- Prepares Turnaround funding requests
- Maintain WBS structure in SAP Project Systems
- Review contractor’s estimates for completeness and reasonable basis for the work scope
- Lead the Turnaround team to develop internal cost estimates that support the overall project cost basis Oversees team of Cost Analysts reviewing contracts, time sheets, invoices and payments
- Interface with Plant Manufacturing Accounting during audits and month-end accruals/forecasts. Communicate forecast and cost and schedule metrics including changes and trend variances Establish and maintain common methods and standards of reporting format for reports to senior leadership on a monthly and/or weekly basis.
- Develop tools, matrices and format for tracking, trending, forecasting and archiving of cost/schedule information
- Develop project controls work processes and train project team members in project controls function. Develop turnaround financial close-out report and responsible for the financial close out of each Turnaround in cooperation with the Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Plant Manufacturing Accounting.. Maintain a field presence during execution and take a leadership role in safety processes
- Interface with various Turnaround staff members at other locations. Develop working relationships with Financial and Business staff throughout the LyondellBasell organization to ensure appropriate coordination of activities
- Participate as a key member of the Turnaround Management team to achieve manufacturing goals, insures compliance with company Turnaround specific financial policies and procedures, manage financial and administrative support services that satisfy the Turnaround business needs.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business degree
- At least 5 years of Turnaround controls experience in the petrochemical, chemical or refining industries required
- Fluent in German and English preferably also good knowledge of the French language.
- SAP experience and knowledge of cost calculation systems is required
- Willingness and ability to work turnaround schedules during execution.
