Mechanical Engineer - Leipzig, Germany - 12-Months Contract

**Responsibilities**:
Works with the project team and subcontractor to substantiate change conditions and quantities.
Supports the development of estimates by performing quantity take offs from plans and models.
Analyses and makes independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organisation and/or project objectives and guidelines.
Supports vendor and subcontractor solicitation, pre-qualification and coordination of pricing.
Reviews subcontractor and vendor bid packages.
Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred.
3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
2+ years of competitive bid experience preferred.
Experience in estimating.
Experience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning (EPCC) projects is required.
Experience in Industrial building, Clean Room and Tool Install construction desired.
BIM estimating experience desired.
Understands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawings.
Ability to effectively perform quantity take offs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional organisation and coordination skills.
Ability to travel to support both project and corporate needs.
