We are looking for a reliable and experienced **generalist** legal counsel to help us to navigate through the busy legal waters. You will be joining a crew of experienced lawyers based all around the globe in a growing international IT company.

This position is open for full-time and part-time hours.

Your responsibilities in this role include but are not limited to the following:

- Corporate housekeeping for the German companies of the group.
- Providing legal advice and guidance on all German law-related questions and matters, with a primary focus on general civil law, data privacy laws, employment and labour law, and COVID-19-related regulations.
- Drafting, reviewing, amending, and terminating various agreements related to the day-to-day activity and maintenance of our German companies and offices in Munich and Berlin.
- Drafting and reviewing corporate documents, such as board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and others.
- Official correspondence with counterparties, state authorities, and other organizations, including verifying that their requests are reasonable, asserting the position of our German companies, communicating about service deficiencies, and others.
- Supporting GDPR implementation and compliance, assisting with and providing advice on various matters within the scope of data protection legislation, including checking suppliers for GDPR compliance and maintaining the related database.
- Taking part in documenting the internal policies of our German companies in cooperation with the HR and Compliance teams.
- Maintaining the registry of agreements and administering the company document management system.
- Keeping track of legislation amendments that are relevant for JetBrains Germany, and updating colleagues where necessary.
- Providing legal support to the HR, Finance, Security, and Office Management teams in their day-to-day work and communicating with legal colleagues from our other offices, and participating in cross-group legal projects.

**Requirements**:

- At least a master's degree in legal studies or 1st legal state examination with profound knowledge and practical experience.
- At least 3 years in a top-tier international law firm or an international in-house legal department.
- Excellent presentation, writing, and organizational skills.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to a large and complex structure with varying priorities.
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously.
- German - native fluent, written and spoken; English - fluent, written and spoken; knowledge of Russian is an asset.
