Electronics Technician

**Duties**: - Implement engineered plans and monitors accomplishment of large-scale conventional and complex projects of installing or implementing novel or unusual communications-electronics systems. - Develop engineering plans for projects by establishing physically and technically sound equipment and facility configurations in consideration of future expansion and equipment interface constraints. - Develop engineering installation packages including detailed Bills of Material, detailed engineering drawings, and detailed technical installation instructions. - Provide on-site technical engineering guidance during the installation and testing of assigned projects. - Integrate assigned projects with similar projects, both existing and planned as well as with other electronic subsystems that perform different but related functions within the total communications system. - Ensure that the individual equipment electrical characteristics interface with existing and planned connecting equipment. - Provide on-site technical engineering guidance to government and contracted technicians during the installation and initial operation and initial testing of the various subsystems. - Conduct practical technical review, analysis, and evaluation of equipment and system problems in the specialized areas noted above. **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. - Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. - Two year trial/probationary period may be required. - Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19. - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. - This position is designated as Key. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. - Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location. - Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations.
