**Duties**:

- Serves as Facility Assistant in a fitness facility. Works under the direction of the Fitness Facility Manager.
- Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment facilities and machinery.
- Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral, as appropriate.
- Assists with the publicity of programs and events. Assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
- Issues and receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors fitness equipment conditions; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Successfully complete a health screening.
- Possesses the ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED certification and MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).

**Qualifications**:

- Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. _The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-01 level._

**Education**:
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
