Your Mission

You will contribute to the development and integration of our first-in-class in-vehicle infotainment system MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). You are part of the UI (user interface) team that brings the MBUX UI to the latest and greatest hardware. We are responsible for ensuring that the UI runs on all hardware variants. Our team gets all the latest gadgets, e.g., the different peripherals, screens and input devices before anyone else, and we do the initial bring-up of this new hardware.

As a Product Owner of a scrum team, you will:

- Lead the definition of user stories for the team.
- Define the feature roadmap.
- Prioritize the team backlog in close alignment with stakeholders.
- Lead the planning of the team sprint and the definition of the sprint goal.
- Accept user stories according to agreed definition of done criteria.
- Collaborate with other product owners from other teams.
- Align with stakeholders on requirements.
- Coordinate the integration of a software product with the development department.
- Make sure that a root cause analysis is performed on bugs and ensure that fixes of the issues falls within the team's responsibilities.
- Provide regular status reports to the management.

Your Profile

**Education**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification.

**Experience**:

- Hands-on expertise as a Product Owner in a scrum team.
- Experience maintaining the product backlog, prioritizing and defining requirements while keeping a strong focus on product quality, reliability, stability, and scalability.
- Interest in software architecture for embedded systems.
- Enthusiasm for UI features and UI control concepts.
- Proven negotiation skills on technical level.
- Good understanding of agile and classic development processes and common modern tools.
- Profound knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
- Comprehension with Linux and Git, Yocto are a plus.

- Aspiration to engineering excellence.

**Language Skills**:

- Proficient in English, German is a plus.
