**Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities**

Maintains company accounting systems, assisting with the financial statement close cycle and producing timely reporting and compliance with relevant procedures and controls. Balances books and prepares profit and loss, cash flow, income and balance sheet statements. Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Provides records of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Assists in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue, in accordance with the company revenue recognition policy. Involved in the tracking of billing information in the financial system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local accounting regulations and U.S. GAAP.

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains accounting transactions in accordance with both US and local GAAP guidelines
- Generates sales reports, trial balances, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports as needed
- Supports month-end close and reporting of the accounting ledger
- Maintains accounting controls and recommends policies and procedures to support compliance with all regulations
- Assists with reviews and compliance audits by obtaining, collecting, and creating packages for auditors
- Assists with travel expenses
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Required Skills / Capabilities**
- Able to collaborate cross-functionally with solid verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Organized, accountable, and proactive with exceptional attention to detail
- General understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles

**Education and Experience**
- _ _Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and no previous professional experience or training as Financial Accountant (“Finanzbuchhalter*in”) or relevant professional experience_
- _ _SAP, Oracle, Cognos, or other large ERP system experience preferred_
- For roles that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements (including the COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable)._
