**Trade and Transport Specialist (f/m/d)**:

In this role you will support project staff and local Trade Compliance team by classifying products, software and technology that ABB exports or imports with respect to government export control (dual-use and military) / import control (sanctions) and customs (Harmonized System) lists. You will also support Local Division and Business Area in ensuring that all local business processes are aligned with ABB trade policies and guidelines, as well as to provide the local business staff with hands-on guidance in complying with trade related requirements and in pursuing strategic trade objectives.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Tariff classification of all articles from a customs perspective for export and import
- Manage and update master data in SAP GTS of ABB products, technologies and software (product description, HTS code, ECN/ECCN numbers)
- Classification of purchased goods, preferably well on time before export, import and/or shipment, but also when goods need to be declared with customs on short notice and/or are under inspection of the customs authorities
- Analysis of the goods to be sold and/or shipped during the coming months (or past months for book-to-bill business with no backlog), identification and classification of products, software and/or technologies, especially in case of critical regulatory development
- Review and approval of export control processes based on legal and ABB-internal requirements

**Your background**:

- Experience in export control and custom rules and regulations
- Willingness to deal with legal texts and their interpretation
- Knowledge of export control and customs rules and regulations
- Willingness to learn about the products, systems and software (of the respective Business), as well as related Global Trade regulations related to Product Classification
- Local language of authorities (German)
- Business mind-set, responsiveness, self-driven, willingness to explore
