The Transactional Risk (TR) team at Marsh is part of its specialist Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) practice. The German business unit is part of the global PEMA practice consisting of +350 employees. Marsh’s PEMA Practice develops solutions that help corporations, private equity firms, alternative asset managers, lenders, and infrastructure investors manage M&A risks. Our dedicated team of advisors and attorneys worldwide works across Marsh and other Marsh & McLennan Companies businesses to help provide specialized, industry-specific depth.

Our TR team comprises professionals from backgrounds such as law and investment banking. The TR team advises on the structure and executes bespoke insurance solutions for M&A transactions. In 2021, Marsh placed more than 3,000 transactional risk insurance policies on over 1,900 unique transactions across the globe on behalf of our clients - representing over $81 billion in limits of liability. Our TR team has been a leading figure in developing transactional risk insurance solutions in the European and the German market over the last decade and is one of the most experienced and fastest growing teams in the market.

In order to further strengthen its TR team, we are looking for a

**Transactional Risk Broker (f/m/d)**

for our Frankfurt or Munich office. As a Transactional Risk Broker, you will support the placement of Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance solutions and contingent risk insurance products on high-profile M&A transactions in an international environment as well as international requests from the Marsh & McLennan Companies network.

You will report to the Head of Transactional Risk (Germany) and have the opportunity to spend time in our foreign offices to connect with other TR teams and experience different markets.

**Your responsibilities**:

- To place and negotiate TR insurance products (e.g. W&I insurance)
- To manage insurer relationships and developing TR insurance coverage according to clients’ needs
- To help advise our clients in M&A transactions, in particular the coordination and moderation of the contract negotiations with a focus on the warranties and indemnities as agreed in the transaction documentation
- To support our team to collaborate and develop our business with clients, law firms, investment banks and business consultants

**Your qualifications**:

- At least a qualified diploma as business lawyer (Dipl.Wirtschaftsjur. (FH)) or a First State Exam in Law (1. Staatsexamen) or a corresponding legal degree from a foreign university with excellent academic performance
- Excellent command of German and English language skills (spoken and written)
- Entrepreneurial, pro-active and innovative spirit to expand and enhance our business and our products
- Confident appearance and distinct abilities in communication
- Your approach is characterized by efficiency, flexibility and reliability
- Excellent analytic skills
- Capacity for teamwork
