**Researcher (M/F/d) Extended Reality (XR) in Aachen (Herzogenrath)**

Our XR team in Herzogenrath near Aachen is looking for passionate and creative people to strengthen our efforts in creating compelling use cases for 5G and 6G networks. As a researcher, you will work with an international team on cutting-edge AR/VR technologies for Metaverse and 3D communications. You will participate in groundbreaking research projects developing, implementing new concepts, and protecting your most promising proposals by IPR.

- You will work in an international team of outstanding researchers with diverse backgrounds and experiences, including some of the world's foremost authorities and visionaries
- You will develop concepts to improve XR services as part of a European collaborative project
- You will work in a dynamic and multi-functional department where you will have the opportunity to develop professionally, try new roles and responsibilities, influence the way of working and much more

**You bring the following knowledge and experience**:

- Master's degree or PhD in communications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a similar technical field
- Familiar with media streaming, WebRTC and remote rendering
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Experience with European research projects or standardization would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills in English are a must, German as an asset
